These are the older, squarer shaped screens with an aspect ratio of 4:3 (or 1.25). These were used in CRT displays, Laptops and older LCD monitors. A popular variant with a screen resolution of 1280x1024 (1.25 aspect ratio), was also used in LCD displays and Laptops. Not only are these displays still available today but there are hundreds of millions of them still in daily use around the world. They are slowly being phased out in favor of the new wide screen displays which have an aspect ratio os 16:10 (or 1.6).

1280x1024 pixels
1600x1200 pixels

Just select which image you would like to use and then click on the link that corresponds to your screen size and the full sized image will be displayed. You can then either save to your hard drive or right click and select "save as desktop background" and you are done.
