Forsaken Reality offers more than 500 original desktop wallpapers in the following screen resolutions: 1024x768, 1280x800, 1280x960, 1280x1024, 1366x768, 1440x900, 1600x900, 1600x1200, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200 and 2560x1600. All of my wallpapers are created by me personally, using a variety of software, my trusty computer and a great deal of time and effort, so please support the site by purchasing a subscription. January 16th 2012I had an itch to do something with fractals and the result is "Creeper", the latest addition to the wallpaper gallery. I used Apophysis 7x to produce the image and there is little to no post work involved, which is unusual for an apo image. Big thanks to alien-dreams on deviantArt for the excellent xenophilia tutorial on which this image is based. October 29th 2011My latest wallpaper is called "Arinelle", a river from the "Wheel of Time" series of fantasy novels by the late Robert Jordan. I'm currently working my way through the series on my Kindle and being on book three means I still have a long way to go. October 12th 2011Added "Time Squared" to the wallpaper collection in all standard sizes. Created in Vue 9 Complete and Photoshop, this wallpaper didn't take anywhere near as long to render as the last one, which is fine by me. Off to think about the next one now :-) October 10th 2011Finally got my software problems sorted, I had to bite ther bullet and upgrade as the previous version of Vue simply stopped working. I've added "Days of Wonder" to the gallery in all sizes, my first render with the new version and so far I am very excited at the new features. Already working on the next one so the gap between wallpapers won't be so long :-D July 7th 2011"A New Day Dawns" is the title of my latest wallpaper and was created using Terragen 2. This one makes me wish I had a 2560x1600 screen because it seems the bigger it is the better it looks. June 29th 2011I've just sneaked in two new wallpapers, "Eventide" and "A World Apart", both created using Vue Complete. I've been having a lot of trouble with this software since I rebuilt my computer and installed the Windows 7 service pack, which partly explains my tardiness. As a result of this I am now learning Terragen 2, which is capable of some truly amazing stuff, so watch this space! April 6th 2011I've just added "Serendipity" to the wallpaper collection, created in Vue 8 Complete and a sunset to boot. Hope you like it :-) April 6th 2011Added three new wallpapers today, all using different software. The first, "White on White" uses TopMod for the modelling and Blender to render it out, while "On the Brink" was created using Vue 8 Complete. The third image is called "King's Lament" and used Terragen Classic for that almost unique atmospheric look. |
